school policies

WELCOME TO THE SOA!

PLEASE READ OUR POLICIES!

Attendance
  • Good attendance is absolutely essential for effective learning. However, to avoid infecting other dancers, sick children should not be brought to class. If the student will not be able to attend their scheduled class, please contact the studio office in advance.
  • Attendance is taken at every class.
  • If 3 consecutive classes are missed and the office has not been contacted, the instructor will follow up with a phone call.
  • There are no refunds for missed classes. If a student is absent for any reason they may make-up a class. Please speak with the instructor to make arrangements for this.
  • Promptness is also essential. Tardiness detracts from learning time and disrupts classmates. Please make sure you arrive 5 to 10 minutes early to class.
  • If the student arrives more than 15 minutes late to class it is up to the instructor as to whether or not the student may participate. A proper warm up is necessary for the student's health and safety.
  • Parents must be prompt in picking up your children. Tell your child to remain in the lobby and not outside. Students will only be allowed to leave the studio if accompanied by a parent or responsible adult previously reported to the instructor.
  • We reserve the right to cancel any class with less than 4 participants.
