A collection of photographic portraits and vignettes based on
intimate conversations, Masters of Movement is a rare journey into the world of dance.
Whether through her lens—David Parsons, in a business suit, standing on the branch of a
Central Park tree; Anna Halprin lying naked at the base of a giant California redwood—or
through the revelations from her thoughtful interviews, Eichenbaum captures the essential
character of her subjects, who have confided the experiences and emotions that have
driven their creativity and defined their styles.
Rose Eichenbaum is our 2011 Art in the Foyer artist. Her work will be on display at the
museum through April 2012.

Five museum notecards with museum facade on front, blank inside. Perfect for short correspondence! Five white envelopes included.

The Dancer Within is a collection of photographic portraits
and short essays based on confessional interviews with forty dancers and entertainers,
many of them world-famous. Well-known on the concert stage, on Broadway, in Hollywood
musicals, and on television, the personalities featured in this book speak with
extraordinary candor about all stages of the dancer's life--from their first dance
class to their signature performances and their days of reflection on the artist's life.
Rose Eichenbaum is our 2011 Art in the Foyer artist. Her work will be on display at the
museum through April 2012.

Bravura!: Lucia Chase and the American Ballet Theatre tells the
story of the beginning of American Ballet Theatre and it's queen: Lucia Chase. To many people,
Lucia Chase was the American Ballet Theatre, and her reign as the queen of American ballet
lasted for more than four decades.
It was Chase who brought Nureyev, Bujones, Kirkland, and eventually Baryshnikov to ABT.
Under her leadership, the company worked with such legends as Agnes de Mille,
Anthony Tudor, Jerome Robbins, and Twyla Tharp. Her drive, ambition, tenacity,
and money kept the doors open even during the lean years.
This book is written by her son, Alex Ewing.
